We had a terrific tour of the University Farm greenhouses for our November 2025 meeting. Our speaker was Angie Handy (in red hoodie) the Greenhouse Technician.

We heard about the Ag Studies program and projects, plus all about the plant propagation and sales. We also had a nice tour of the brand new University Farm Store, which sells plants, cheeses, beef, pork, rice, honey and branded merchandise. (click thumbnails for a closer look)

Master Gardener Julie Barbour gave a great presentation in our October 2025 meeting. She focused on analyzing the results from this year's garden to make next year's garden even better.

Master Gardener and retired Plant Pathologist Jeff Oster gave a terrific presentation titled "What's Bugging Your Garden?" in our September 2025 meeting. 🌱

Our April 2025 meeting was a field trip up to the wonderful Wyntour Gardens nursery in Redding, California. We got a private tour of the grounds, including their propagation area. Then plant-shopping followed! 🪴 🛍️

Club member Grant Meyer, who has grown plants from seed since childhood, gave a presentation on seed starting in our February 2025 meeting. 🌱

Our January 2025 presenter was member Sherry Holbrook who gave an excellent talk on backyard honeybee beekeeping.

Our guest Presenter for our November 18th meeting was Chris Hunter, co-owner of Magnolia Gift and Garden Nursery and of The Plant Barn. Chris shared local retail nursery history, plus several of his favorite plants, selected to thrive here in Chico. 🪴

During our October 21st meeting former club President and current active member Grant Meyer gave a hands-on demonstration of plant propagation. Look at all the plant material he brought in to propagate. 🌱 🌱 ✂️

On September 16th, 2024 our presenter, Butte County Master Gardener Bob DiPietro gave a how-to on setting up an irrigation system. So interesting and informative! 💦

On May 10th, 2024 the group had a field trip to explore behind-the-scenes at the three greenhouses on the Chico State University campus. Lots of great plants and information. Many thanks to Sean for the great greenhouse tour. 🪴
